General Information about IMTC,
the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference
IMTC is a yearly meeting of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society. The first call describes each year its scope in detail.
Technically, the IMTC is organized in each year by a local organizing committee. The next venue is Budapest, Hungary, between May 21-23, 2001.
While all local arrangements and even paper selection are organized and partly executed by the local organizers, standard management tasks like collecting abstracts, collecting final papers, collecting registration fees, are done by the company Myers-Smith, Inc., situated in Los Angeles. Therefore, inquiries concerning the arrival of abstracts, etc. should be directed to them.
Myers-Smith introduces each abstract and the data of the authors into a data base, and periodically forward the data to the local organizers. The WEB page on abstracts received by the conference is based on this. Therefore, this WEB page contains information from a previous state (a few days earlier) only. The deadlines are understood as the ones of the receipt at Myers-Smith. Conferences are always a little flexible with the deadlines, to avoid bad situation of authors whose submittal is delayed by post, servers down, etc. If it turns out that you have to be late by more than 1 week, please notify them about your intent to submit an abstract by email, within the first week of October, giving the exact deadline for which you can submit your material, and your data (authors, data, abstract title). Within reasonable time, they will consider your submittal, if they know in advance that they can count with it.
The organizers can be contacted with special questions via a special email address: email@example.com. You can also subscribe to an email list which distributes up-to-date information on IMTC as it evolves.
